Next NY InterNACHI Chapter postponed to January 28th, 2004.

The next NY InterNACHI Chapter meeting has been postponed one day to Wednesday, January 28th, 2004 at 6pm.  ALL WELCOME.

EVERYONE is cordially invited to the next meeting of the New York Chapter of the International Association of Certified Home Inspectors (InterNACHI) on Wednesday January 28th, 2004 (snow date: Jan. 28th).  Based in the Hudson Valley of New York state, the chapter now has 44 members and is attracting more members from throughout its home state, as well as parts of New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Connecticut.  Members of InterNACHI, SPREI, ASHI, HICAG and NAHI attend.  This monthly meeting is the home inspection event of the Northeast.  New and veteran home inspectors are all welcome-you need not be a member of InterNACHI.  Anyone interested in home inspections can attend.  Dress casual if you like, as our meetings are informal and fun, the way they should be.  Spouses welcome.  Come hungry!

We have arranged for 2 speakers as follows:

  • Dennis Bender
    Approved De-Watering & Radon
    Cornwall, NY

Dennis will talk about corrective measures to control water infiltration of dwellings and Radon Mitigation.

  • Steve Diaz - President and CEO of Duraclean Specialists of Yaphank, Long Island, New York.

Duraclean is an international restoration and environmental remediation company. Steve owns the largest Duraclean franchise in the world. In 2003 our net revenue from mold remediation alone totaled 27.3 million dollars. Recently completed jobs include a mud slide at the Lake Placid Olympic Compound which totaled $770,000.00, a mold remediation at Salzman School, 1.5 million, among others.

Steve has been intensively trained in water damage restoration, and mold remediation by Duraclean International Laboratories in Arlington Heights, Illinois. He also holds the prestigious Certified National Restorer designation through Duraclean International. We consider ourselves to be cutting edge with the technology we bring to bear on all remediation projects but rely on the expertise of many Industrial Hygienists for testing and remediation planning. We currently accept direct referrals from thirty major insurance carriers and recently won Allstate's highest award for Customer Service excellence.

Also attending:  InterNACHI President Joe Hagarty, InterNACHI Code of Ethics Committee Chair Joe Farsetta, and InterNACHI Executive Director Nick Gromicko.

Hope to see you all there!!!
