In this training video, we will follow an expert roof inspector to learn how to perform a wind & hail inspection of a residential property. The student will also learn best practices and procedures as an asphalt shingle roof and its gutter and downspout system, severely damaged by hail, are torn off and replaced.
Goal:
The student will learn how a wind and hail inspection is performed and how a roof damaged by hail is replaced for insurance claims.
Objectives:
Upon successful completion of this course, the student will be able to:
- describe the procedures for performing a wind and hail damage inspection at a residential property;
- list the components included in the inspection;
- describe the types of hail damage found at a typical insurance inspection;
- communicate observations to a client; and
- describe the best practices for removing and replacing an asphalt shingle roof; and
- describe the best practices for removing and replacing gutters and downspouts.
