Vision, Mission, Goals and Objectives of InterNACHI® and InterNACHI® School

InterNACHI® is good for the world. 


The International Association of Certified Home Inspectors – InterNACHI® – is a membership trade organization of residential and commercial property inspectors (view our membership map). InterNACHI® is a federally tax-exempt, 501(c)(6) non-profit organization headquartered in Boulder, Colorado. 

InterNACHI® School (internachi.edu) is accredited as a tuition-free, online post-secondary educational institution (college) by the Accrediting Council for Continuing Education & Training (ACCET), a national accrediting agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education (USDE), to provide free, online continuing education and a Home Inspector Certificate Program to InterNACHI® members. InterNACHI® School is also a Member College of the National Association of Career Colleges (NACC) of Canada, a national association representing more than 500 colleges across Canada.

InterNACHI® Mission

InterNACHI® continues its leadership role as a non-profit membership organization of certified property inspectors and enhances the home inspection profession by offering valuable membership benefits, including free online training, examination, and certification, business development, marketing support, legal documents, and discounts on everything from inspection software to E&O insurance. 

  

InterNACHI® School Mission 

InterNACHI® School is dedicated to providing InterNACHI® members with a free online Home Inspector Certificate Program and free online education courses that enable its students to meet their academic and professional goals. 

 
 

GOAL:

Increase and strengthen the number of satisfied InterNACHI® members, successful inspection businesses, and productive workforces in local communities worldwide. 

 

GOAL:

Provide sound, up-to-date, high-quality, and demonstrably effective online courses, Continuing Education, and a certificate program to InterNACHI® members for free.

  • Objective: Develop courses that combine a basic foundation of traditional education in an online e-learning format. The measurable factors that determine success: Home Inspector Courses.
  • Objective: Continuously build and maintain an accredited certificate program for InterNACHI® members. The measurable factor that determines success:Home Inspector Certificate Program.
  • Objective: Obtain institutional and programmatic approval and accreditation from governmental and non-governmental regulating agencies. The measurable factors that determine success: Governmental Approvals, Recognition and Accreditation.
 

GOAL: 

Welcome people, regardless of age, race, ethnic origin, gender, sexual orientation, or religion, to a thriving membership organization and school.

  • Objective: Offer memberships worldwide to individuals with different backgrounds and experiences with fair and ethical admission and enrollment practices. The measurable factors that determine success: InterNACHI® Membership Stats, InterNACHI® Code of Ethics, Accommodations for Learners.
  • Objective: Keep the membership benefits, certificate program, online courses, member, and student services free for all InterNACHI® members. The measurable factor that determines success: All-Access Membership.
  • Objective: Ensure proper, ethical, and responsible administration of financial resources as a stable and capable 501(c)(6) organization through transparency and sound fiscal practices. The measurable factors that determine success: InterNACHI® Tax.
  • Objective: Bring together a varied group of people committed to doing great things within a fulfilling work environment. The measurable factor that determine success: InterNACHI® Staff.

InterNACHI® members follow a Home Inspection Standards of Practice and abide by a Code of Ethics. InterNACHI® maintains an Inspection Forum, supports local Member Chapters, and lists Inspector Mentors to encourage the open exchange of information between its members. 

Every homeowner around the world should be educated on how their homes work, how to maintain them, and how to save energy by getting their homes inspected every year by an InterNACHI-certified home inspector.
