School
Accredited by the U.S. Department of Education
BOULDER, Colo. (Dec. 12, 2018) – The International Association of Certified Home Inspectors – InterNACHI® – is delighted to announce that it has received accreditation for all of its online training courses, inspector exam, and inspector certifications by the U.S. Department of Education through the Accrediting Council for Continuing Education & Training (ACCET).
ACCET is a nationally recognized accrediting agency of post-secondary institutions for the U.S. Department of Education and is listed on the USDE's website of Institutional Accrediting Agencies. Read the ACCET's letter of approval to InterNACHI®.
The InterNACHI® School, and all of InterNACHI’s 100+ online and video courses and 45+ certification programs, including its professional designation of Certified Professional Inspector® (all free for members), as well as its Online Home Inspector Exam (free for everyone) are now accredited by the U.S. Department of Education. This overarching recognition is in addition to the previous 1,400+ accreditations already earned by InterNACHI® from various state and other governmental agencies throughout the U.S.
Chief Operating Officer and Director of Education Ben Gromicko says, “Earning this higher-education accreditation from the USDE is a tremendous milestone for our organization. This singular goal has been on InterNACHI’s radar since its inception.”
InterNACHI® has also applied for an .EDU website domain. The Education Team is in the process of developing a curriculum which will allow InterNACHI® to confer an Associate of Arts in Home Inspection. The AA degree for the inspection profession would be the first of its kind in the world.
“This accreditation by the U.S. Department of Education should reassure every home-buying and home-selling consumer about why they should hire an InterNACHI® Certified Home Inspector,” says Founder Nick Gromicko. “We are always looking for meaningful ways to serve our members, and through them, we serve the public, who benefit from hiring the best-trained inspectors in the industry.” He adds, “I’m deeply proud of our hardworking staff, and all of our nearly 22,000 members, who keep us going and give us a reason to continually improve on what we offer them.”
