Spruce Radon Training Announces Discounts for InterNACHI Members
WARD HILL, MA, November 1, 2006: Spruce Radon Training, along with cosponsors
AccuStar Labs and RadonAway, has announced that they will offer discounted fees
to members of a professional organization. Beginning immediately, members of the
International Association of Certified Home Inspectors (InterNACHI) will receive a 20 percent
discount when enrolling in Spruce Radon Training courses.
Spruce's David Hill says, "Both Spruce and InterNACHI recognize that there is a growing
need for well-informed, qualified professionals who can provide the public with
accurate radon information and quality services. We believe that educated professionals
can help to save lives endangered by exposure to radon in their homes and workplaces."
Radon is an invisible, odorless gas that is a natural radioactive decay product
of uranium, a common element in soil and rocks. Radon gas is considered harmless
when dispersed in outdoor air but can be a serious health hazard when trapped
in buildings. The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), the World Health
Organization, the National Academy of Sciences, and the US Department of Health
and Human Services have classified radon as a Class A human carcinogen. It causes
more lung cancer deaths-more than 20,000 per year-in the U.S. than any other carcinogen
except cigarette smoking.
Spruce Radon Training is highly regarded throughout the radon industry for the
effectiveness of its courses and quality of training materials. Most classroom
courses are taught by award-winning Senior Training Specialist Trudy Y. Smith,
tsmith@spruce.com. Course listings and schedules can be found online at www.accustarlabs.com.
