1. Do I have to be a CPI to be a Training Partner?
It depends. Join InterNACHI® as a member or a vendor. Vendors do not necessarily need to be certified home inspectors.
However, if you're teaching a home inspection topic (such as how to inspect a roof, etc.), you must become an InterNACHI® Certified Professional Inspector (CPI)® by completing the Home Inspector Certification Requirements.
Interact with the course content, take quizzes, play videos, practice the final exam, etc. There's no need to create PowerPoint slides. (They're boring!) Teach using InterNACHI's nationally-accredited online courses. InterNACHI® School is the only home inspector college nationally accredited by the U.S. Dept. of Education. Here's a short list of home inspector courses.
4. Can I teach my own class materials?
Yes.
5. Do my classes get recognized for InterNACHI CE?
Yes. Partners can simply inform their students who are InterNACHI members to update their transcript with the appropriate CE credit hours after completing your class.
6. How much should I charge for my course?
We don't care. It's up to you. You can charge fees for your classes, and you get to keep all the money.
7. Does InterNACHI® provide students with a Certificate of Completion?
A student who logs into an InterNACHI® online course and passes the final exam will receive a Certificate of Completion and CE credit in their InterNACHI® account automatically.
If you teach a class you created, you provide the exam and certificate. And the student uploads the credit hours into their InterNACHI transcript. Just tell them to log into their InterNACHI account.
8. How do my students receive CE?
If a student completes an InterNACHI® online course, the student will receive a Certificate of Completion and CE credit in their InterNACHI® member account automatically.
If the student completes an InterNACHI® online course, and the state has approved InterNACHI® as that online course's provider, we'll submit CE on behalf of the student.
If you're teaching a live class and the state has approved you as the class instructor/provider (not InterNACHI®), you're responsible for submitting the student's CE to the state.
