| | STACKS: A Home Inspector's Guide to Increasing Gross Revenue by Nick Gromicko As I travel around the country on tour for InterNACHI and the Master Inspector Certification Board, I'm often asked: "Nick, how do I get rich in the inspection business?" This book answers that question. Remember, the purpose of being in business--any business--is to make money. If you want to make a good living, don't go into business. Instead, get a good job. The only reason to be in business and take on all that it entails is to make a really, really great living and to pile up stacks of money for yourself and your family. |

YouTube for Inspection Marketing
Why Use Video to Market Your Inspection Business?- 78% of people watch videos online every week.
- 55% of people watch videos online every day.
Video took up 57% of consumer Internet traffic in 2015. That's the equivalent of almost four times as much as web browsing and email. This figure will rise to 69% by 2017, and to 79% by 2018. +2 MinutesSites that include video have, on average, an extra two-minute "dwell time" compared to sites that don't. The longer the viewer is on your website, the more they get to know you and your brand. |
Inspecting Pipes in Exterior Walls and Pipe Insulation
According to the InterNACHI Standards of Practice, home inspectors are required to inspect the plumbing. There are two building practices related to plumbing pipes and
insulation that are helpful for inspectors to know about for performing
home inspections. - All pipes located in exterior walls should be insulated.
- All hot and cold water supply pipes should be insulated.
Locating water pipes in exterior walls should be avoided. If pipes are located in exterior walls, in addition to insulating the pipe, the homeowner should ensure that as much cavity insulation as possible is installed between the pipe and the outer surface of the wall. In cold climates, having pipes in unconditioned attics should be avoided.

The Importance of NAP and How to Use It
It's important to have your
name, address, and phone number -- often referred to as NAP by SEO
professionals -- on your home inspection business website and elsewhere
on the web. Google and other search engines rely on this data to inform
local search ranking, which has become one of the biggest ways
prospective clients find home inspectors online. InterNACHI highly
recommends you add this to every page of your website. |
