How to Become a Certified Home Inspector in Nevada

 

Home Inspector Licensing: 

To become a licensed home inspector in Nevada, you must provide to the state proof of:
  • completing a Division-approved live course of at least 40 hours;
  • passing a Division-approved state exam;
  • performing supervised 25 home inspections; or a secondary course; and 
  • the ability to produce a home inspection report according to the Standards of Practice.

Radon Measurement Certification and CE (online & free for members):

Though Nevada does not regulate or enforce individuals performing radon testing, measurement, and mitigation the Nevada Department of Health and Human Services recommends that radon measurement service providers be listed as certified by nationally recognized certification organizations. For details, visit the Nevada Radon Program managed by the University of Nevada Cooperative Extension. 
 
NRPP:
InterNACHI's free, online "Radon Measurement Professional Initial Training Course" is AARST-NRPP approved for both initial certification and Continuing Education. To complete all components of the NRPP Radon Certification, please visit their site for more information.  
 
NRSB:
