Home Inspector Continuing Education (free & online)

InterNACHI Certified Home Inspectors are required to complete 24 hours of Continuing Education every year to renew their certification. InterNACHI® School provides free, online education courses to members so they can renew their certifications at no additional cost.

Insurance for Inspectors

Although Michigan doesn’t have requirements regarding insurance for home inspectors, many local real estate boards and home inspector business franchises require their affiliate members to meet certain coverage standards. Radon Tester Certification (online & free for members)

Radon testers are not licensed or regulated in Michigan. However, the State of Michigan recommends that testers become certified by taking certification courses approved by NRPP and AARST. For details, visit Michigan's website

NRPP:

InterNACHI's free, online "Radon Measurement Professional Initial Training Course" is AARST-NRPP approved for both initial certification and Continuing Education. To complete all components of the NRPP Radon Certification, please visit their site for more information.  

NRSB:

InterNACHI's free, online Radon Measurement Professional Initial Training Course is NRSB-approved for initial certification. For those looking for NRSB continuing education, members should take the free, online "Advanced Radon Measurement Service Provider" course.

 



 

Home Energy Inspector Certification 

Become a Certified Home Energy Inspector. The online training and certification are free for members. No infrared, no blower door, and no additional training are needed.

 



Wood Destroying Organisms (WDO)


Michigan currently does not regulate wood-destroying organisms inspections. Become an InterNACHI® Certified Wood-Destroying Organism (WDO) Inspector. Pest control applicators in the state of Michigan are required to become certified and licensed by the Michigan Department of Agriculture and Rural Development. Home inspectors don't spray pesticides.
