My name is Jamie Wilks and I am a State of Virginia Certified Home Inspector, and a member of InterNACHI.
I live in Mathews County, Virginia, a small county on the Chesapeake Bay, and I serve the entire southeastern area of Virginia, from Norfolk to the Northern Neck, including Williamsburg.
I have a unique and varied background in engineering and construction, which gives me a distinct advantage as a home inspector. I have also been a Norfolk Professional Fire Fighter since 1991. Additionally, I am a Hazardous Materials Specialist and a Technical Rescue Specialist.
I have an associates degree in Civil Engineering Technology, and I have attended the Virginia Building Code Academy. In addition, I am professionally trained by the American Home Inspectors Training Institute (Master Course).
I believe you need a combination of training, education and experience to be a first-class home inspector, along with being a member of a professional organization like InterNACHI.
