Applicants for Indiana home inspector licensure must complete InterNACHI's 90-hour online pre-licensing course, which includes twelve (12) hours of practical in-field experience training provided by an approved pre-licensing course provider and approved trainer. For licensing details, visit www.nachi.org/indiana.
You may take the online courses at any time. You can track your progress by visiting your education log within your Members-Only Account at www.nachi.org/account.
To schedule your 12 hours of practical experience training, contact one of the following trainers for your 12 hours of practical in-field training. Ask about any fees for the training.
Proof of the training must be submitted to InterNACHI at education@internachi.org to receive the final certificate of completion of the online pre-licensing course issued by InterNACHI. The form must be signed and sent from the supervising inspector to be accepted. If your instructor does not have a form, they can download and use InterNACHI's Field-Training Template
To receive a final certificate of completion (after completing all 90 hours of training and the 250-question final exam), go to your members-only account and click on the "Pre-Licensing" tool to download your final certificate of completion.
