House of Horrors® 3 Planned for Philly Area: Press Release

Third House of Horrors® Planned for the Philadelphia Area

BOULDER, Colo. (Nov. 2, 2018) – The International Association of Certified Home Inspectors and InterNACHI® member and Certified Master Inspector® Larry Frace are excited to announce plans for HOH3, a third House of Horrors®, for the Northeastern U.S.

Officially dubbed the Northeast Training Institute, the planned 7,000-square-foot, state-of-the-art facility will be constructed in Bloomsburg, about two hours northwest of Philadelphia, by Frace and Marr Development Company.  Plans are underway for its grand opening in Summer 2020.

InterNACHI® Founder Nick Gromicko is particularly pleased that HOH3 will be built near his original hometown.  “The reach of our shared goals – to create the best-trained inspectors in the industry – makes me especially proud that InterNACHI is partnering with Larry and the Northeast Training Institute.  It’s another dream realized.”

The House of Horrors® 3 will include a basement and crawlspace, and running water. The facility will have its own Inspector Outlet store that will open directly into the planned InterNACHI® Training Area. One classroom will overlook the InterNACHI® Training Area. And there will also be a local-history museum onsite.

Frace plans to work with local vocational schools, technical colleges, and volunteer organizations for their students’ use. It will also be the first facility in the nation to be used to train not just home Inspectors, but also building inspectors, zoning officials, code inspectors, and building contractors.

Says Frace, “Our goal for the Northeast Training Institute is to become known as the premier inspector training facility of the Northeast. We’ll train the next generation of inspectors for the building industry. And our inclusion of other industries and educational outlets,” he continues, “means that housing will become safer, more energy-efficient, and more durable as people from all those different spheres connect and become more educated and informed.”
