Commercial Property Inspection Field Training

In this in-person class, you’ll experience a full day of hands-on training inspecting a commercial building. You’ll start by preparing a mock price and proposal for the subject property. Then, you’ll move on to performing the entire inspection and end with a review of the final inspection report. By fully immersing yourself in the process, you’ll gain practical, hands-on experience for landing commercial jobs and providing top-notch services to commercial clients.

What to Expect

Instructor Raymond Ward, CMI^®, will guide students through all of the major systems and components of an office and warehouse building with a low-slope roof. This will allow students to become familiar with a variety of commercial systems and to ask questions about the systems as they inspect them. Throughout the day, Raymond will also discuss inspection methodology, how the systems work, defect recognition, and best practices for reporting according to the International Standards of Practice for Inspecting Commercial Properties (ComSOP).
