Goal:
The goal of this course is to teach the inspector about possible sources of moisture intrusion in and outside of the home.
Objectives:
Upon successful completion of this course, the student will be able to:
- Describe the areas of moisture intrusion within roofs, insulation, and siding;
- List susceptible areas of systems that may be compromised;
- Identify issues within different types of siding;
- Perform an inspection related to systems and components;
- Generate observations related to moisture intrusion; and
- Produce written reports related to observations conducted at a house.
