New COVID-19 Safety Course Open and Free for All Inspectors

InterNACHI® Releases New Free COVID-19 Safety Course
for All Home Inspectors
BOULDER, Colo. (March 23, 2020) – In response to the growing coronavirus pandemic, InterNACHI® has just released a free inspector safety course, which is open to all inspectors, whether or not they're InterNACHI® members. It's called the COVID-19 Safety Guidelines for Home Inspectors Course. This live course is being updated as needed to reflect changing guidelines issued by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, and other federal agencies and authorities.
This course is designed to provide best practices for inspection protocols and procedures, along with recommendations to help home inspectors keep themselves and their clients safe and healthy. And now the course is available to all real estate agents in the U.S. and Canada, too.
InterNACHI's Ben Gromicko has also created a webinar version of the COVID-19 Safety Course.
Although many jurisdictions are now operating under stay-at-home orders and have instituted the temporary shuttering of non-essential services, home inspectors may be exempt because they are able to inspect for and report health and safety issues.
That's why InterNACHI® is stepping up to provide much-needed guidelines for home inspectors that specifically address COVID-19, and why this course is free and open to all.
Home inspectors who successfully pass this course may download the logo pictured above to insert in their inspection reports and upload to their website, which will give added assurance to their clients and the real estate agents they work with.
InterNACHI® is also submitting requests to jurisdictions to approve this course for Continuing Education credits, especially since online education is now more important than ever. InterNACHI® is the only home inspector school accredited by the U.S. Dept. of Education.
InterNACHI® is also requesting exemptions from stay-at-home orders for members who pass the course. We will post updates as they become available at www.nachi.org.
