I was doing some research and here is what I have found. Inspections have been down again this year to levels we have not seen in over 15 years. The inventory of home sales is low and not increasing.
Home sold in Wisconsin in 2023
64,430 was the total which is a decline from the high of 91,192 in 2021
Southeastern Region
(Kenosha,Racine, Milwaukee, Ozaukee, Sheboygan, Washington, Waukesha, Walworth)
1342 sales in January which is down over 500 homes since 2021
What do these numbers mean to us? Well first we need to think about adding additional lines of business to continue to work. That should include radon testing, thermal imaging, sewer scoping, mold testing, chimney inspections, and any other specialty inspections we can think of.
This month we are going to discuss issues that are typically out of our control and when your client gives you a call you need to have solutions to help them out. With that let's talk about restoration work.
Restoration 1 offers services for water, fire and mold damage control. Odor removal, pack-out and storage, to board up capabilities. You don't want to miss this one.
This will be a great opportunity to start building your contractor list or expanding on the one you already have.
We also will be talking about some things that have come to my attention and what we need to do about it.
See you on the 27th!
