April 26th Monthly SEW InterNACHI Meeting (Past Event)

Tuesday, April 26th from 5:00pm to 7:00pm CDT
Milwaukee, WI
You are inspecting the foundation of the structure.   What should you be looking for?    Do you pay particular attention to what you see on the outside when you look for issues in the basement.  How much does grading on the structure really matter.  Should you think differently when looking at a poured basement wall vs  concrete block?

This plus many more questions will be answered.  You will also find a few more questions below and we hope our speaker is going to answer them all as well as any you might have.

Jim Jendusa PE
Jendusa Design & Engineering

Jim is going to go through what we should be looking for as well as WAFRP (www.wafrp.com) standards.  Wisconsin Association of Foundation Repair Professionals.

1. What should you be looking for?
2. Do you pay attention to both the outside and the inside?
3. How should you be evaluating the structure?
4. What deflection in a basement wall should be called out?
5. What about cracking?
    Step, horizontal, shear
6. How much is to much?

The more we ask the more we learn.  Attend this event and learn from an industry expert on not only the basics but get some tips on how important the foundation is and what we need to be telling our customers when we see or not see issues.
