Chapter meeting. Topic is Inspecting Historic Houses: How to best serve and advise your client on preservation and compliance when inspecting an historic home. Bonus section on New Construction Homes! This month our featured expert speakers are Robert Metcalf, the director of Building Inspections for the Jacksonville Building Department and Martin Kennerly of the Jacksonville Historic Commission.
Robert and Martin will be sharing their expertise to help you become a more valuable inspector for new construction inspections as well as historic buildings. They will also share ideas to keep from being sued by your customer by keeping them out of trouble with the city!
Facilitated by Chapter President Wally Conway.
Everyone welcome to attend! Old inspectors, new inspectors, real estate agents, contractors, and people interested in becoming an inspector. Also welcome are friends, partners, and spouses of inspectors!
PLEASE NOTE: Meeting location is a real estate office. Please do not
park directly in front of the office, it is open on Saturdays. Please
park anywhere else in the parking lot, there is plenty of places to
choose from away from the real estate office.
Also, since it is an active office, and people will be working, please keep conversation levels low. They also ask
that you do NOT leave any marketing materials in their office during
this time. Thank you!
