Part of your licensing requirements are to complete five field events with a qualified instructor. We do our field events in vacant homes to provide an environment that will allow a free discussion about the issues inside of a home. These homes are flips, and some are being done during construction. This is a good thing because you can see how the systems are put together behind the drywall. Many issues are present in these homes – so many that each home would be like looking at five houses. The experience that you will obtain will exceed your expectations.
This event is NOT FREE. The fee is $600.00 for InterNACHI® members and $800.00 for non-members.
Nothing will be off the table. The goal is to complete the technical requirements for the IDFPR, but that doesn't mean we cannot talk about other things, like marketing and business operations, as well.
The main instructor is Charles (Charlie) Bellefontaine, who has been training home inspectors since 2002 in the state of Illinois.
