This class will be taught by Billy Vairs with Simpson Strong-Tie and will cover wood framing details according to the IRC. We will discuss the proper installation of stick framing, load paths, attic framing details, bracing, proper fasteners, protective nail plates, stud shoes, joist hangers, and much more. Attendees will learn details on what to look for during a framing inspection.
Bring your photos and questions for our speakers. By attending this class you will gain a better insight into how to inspect framing according to the IRC codes. This class will be beneficial to home inspectors performing normal home inspections and increase your knowledge of framing issues and techniques.
