David Schmidt attends all of our monthly meetings and is very helpful to all of our inspectors.
Mr. Schmidt has been a structural consultant on over 1000 projects with emphasis on special timber designs including glulam trusses and log trusses. His design experience includes churches, club houses, schools, multifamily and custom residential structures. Dave has served as plans examiner for the Pikes Peak Regional Building Department with past certification as an ICBO Plans Examiner. Including his hands-on experience as a framer, Dave has a unique perspective on wood engineering and design.
Mr. Schmidt is a registered professional engineer with a B.S in Civil Engineering and a Master Degree in Forest and Wood Science (Timber Engineering), both from Colorado State University. He has over 23 years experience in California and Colorado and is registered in Colorado. He serves as Structural Department Manager.
