You are invited to join A to Z Inspections as they host our bi-monthly Central Oklahoma InterNACHI Chapter Meeting. This meeting is for all inspectors and students to attend. Feel free to bring guests you think might be interested in the speaker, just indicate how many people will be coming with you.
Our speaker for this meeting is Brenda Hoefar (pronounced Hayfer) and she is the director of the Oklahoma Office of Disability Concerns. Her office advocates and educates for the thousands of Oklahomans with disabilities. She has been with the office for 5 years.
She does a lot of public speaking promoting disability rights for Oklahomans and her program is certified for the Council of Law Enforcement Education Trainings. Every quarter the program is included in all new cadets training orientation for the Oklahoma Highway Patrol.
All Oklahomans need to be treated equally with or without disabilities and it is Brenda’s mission to pass this message along to everyone in the state.
It has become more common for inspectors to be asked how to modify homes so that disabled family members, or guests, can be more easily accommodated. Both Brenda and Jack Werner, owner of A to Z Inspections, can answer those questions for you.
Our meetings will be held on the 2nd and 4th Monday mornings of the month (unless holidays interfere) for the remainder of the year.
