InterNACHI is also very honored to announce that Chris Whyman, The Kingston Town Cryer
has agreed to open the Seminar. The Town Cryer was established in Europe many
years ago. Town Cryers were charged with the reading of government decrees to
the public. In some Medieval Towns they had a specific spot where they read the
news, so to speak. Today it is mainly a historic revival of an ancient tradition,
they must read a scroll in specific "olde english" LOUDLY and clearly, be understood
and have excellent command of the "Kings English" Today they open municipal meetings,
lead parades and open government functions and here in Canada they are used for
Provincial Government formal affairs. Mr. Whyman was crowned the World Champion
recently, beating out contestants from Europe and the USA.
