California Association of REALTORS® Confirms
No Preference for Any Inspection Association

BOULDER, Colo. (March 9, 2017) -- InterNACHI has good news for its California members.  The California Association of REALTORS® (CAR) has clarified its position that it does not endorse any specific inspection association.  In an email to InterNACHI’s General Counsel dated February 23, 2017, CAR’s Senior Vice President and General Counsel June Barlow wrote, “We typically do not endorse specific trade groups.”  Ms. Barlow emphasized that CAR is “happy and supportive of competition” in the home inspection industry.

InterNACHI is the largest inspection association in both California and the U.S., with nearly 19,000 members in North America.

If a California REALTOR® mistakenly tells you that CAR only endorses inspectors belonging to a specific association, please contact InterNACHI’s General Counsel Mark Cohen at legal@internachi.org.

When marketing your services to Realtors®, you should also tell them about InterNACHI’s free Negligent-Referral Protection for real estate agents.  They can read the details of that program at  https://www.nachi.org/agent-indemnification.htm.  If you participate in InterNACHI’s Buy-Back Guarantee Program, be sure to mention that, as well.  The details of the Buy-Back Guarantee are online at https://www.nachi.org/buy.htm
