BIBCA (Blow-In-Blanket Contractors Association) Joins InterNACHI

MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING
between
BIBCA (Blow-In-Blanket Contractors Association) and InterNACHI (International Association of Certified Home Inspectors)
 

1. Purpose:  The Blow-In-Blanket Contractors Association (BIBCA) and the International Association of Certified Home Inspectors (InterNACHI) enter into this Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to promote the improvement of home energy performance in the United States.  This document serves to outline how the two organizations will cooperate to meet this goal while cooperatively growing both Associations.

2. Goal of the Agreement: The goal of this MOU is to frame a mutually beneficial relationship between BIBCA and InterNACHI.  BIBCA and InterNACHI will explore partnership opportunities that will grow and sustain both as independent organizations.

3. Areas of Cooperation:  The following are the areas where BIBCA and InterNACHI agree to cooperate:
3.1  BIBCA Presence at the Inspector Conference- InterNACHI will offer BIBCA exhibitor/vendor/presenter opportunities at InterNACHI Inspection Conferences and events.  InterNACHI will also schedule training session opportunities for BIBCA explain its Certified Insulation Installer program and explore how InterNACHI members can team up with BIBCA members.

3.2  InterNACHI Presence at the BIBCA Conferences- BIBCA will offer InterNACHI exhibit/vendor/presentation opportunities BIBCA Trade Shows and events.

3.3  Mutual Promotion:  BIBCA and InterNACHI agree to mutually promote the partner associations via web presence, social media outreach, and in printed or media materials when appropriate.  BIBCA and InterNACHI will mutually cooperate to educate members of each Association on the other.

3.4  Collaboration on Federal Programs Recognizing BIBCA and InterNACHI as a link between inspectors and insulation professionals:  BIBCA, InterNACHI and other groups will collaborate with DOE, EPA, and like-minded non-profit organizations on federal energy efficiency efforts.

4. MOU Administration

4.1  Each organization agrees to identify a contact person(s) to monitor and assess implementation and application of the MOU within their organization and to address inquiries, disputes or questions arising from the implementation of the agreement.

4.2  Each organization agrees that this MOU is a dynamic and evolving instrument that may be amended with the consent of both organizations.  The organizations agree to initiation periodic reviews of this agreement as needed.
