InterNACHI

Agreement Details

The International Association of Certified Home Inspectors will soon announce the details of an agreement with one of the nation's largest real estate franchises. Homebuyers working with these real estate agents will be advised to solely use InterNACHI members for their inspection service needs. No particular inspector or inspectors will be recommended, however homebuyers will be referred to www.FindAnInspector.US exclusively. InterNACHI in turn will indemnify the entire franchise, protecting agents from negligent referral claims. This agreement should help InterNACHI members penetrate markets formerly held by other inspectors. Details and a formal announcement will be posted soon. If you can't wait you can  offer negligent referral protection to agents now by adding a negligent referral clause to InterNACHI's pre-inspection agreement.  Negligent referral language basically has your client agree that a real estate agent is merely a sales person and will not be named in any inspection-related lawsuit.  A copy for your attorney's review is available to members by emailing Nick.

InterNACHI has also recently developed the InterNACHI Arbitration Service for dispute resolution.
