How to Become a Certified Home Inspector in Oregon
The training and certification to become an Oregon-certified home inspector is online and free for InterNACHI® members. InterNACHI® School is accredited as a postsecondary education institution by the national accrediting agency of the U.S. Department of Education (USDE) to provide free online training, examination, certification, and continuing education to InterNACHI® members in Oregon. InterNACHI® Is Approved by Oregon

InterNACHI is approved by Oregon to provide free, online courses to obtain education points that are required to take the state exam.
Starting Oct. 1, 2015, candidates for certification as an Oregon home inspector are required to pass the National Home Inspector Examination. To be eligible to take the state exam, individuals must provide proof of education points. To obtain education points, take free, online courses provided by InterNACHI. Inspector Continuing Education (online & free for members):
According to Oregon Construction Contractors Board at www.oregon.gov/CCB/licensing/Pages/homeinspectorce, certified home inspectors must complete Continuing Education to renew their certification. How to Join InterNACHI
Real Estate Cards (free for members):
These real estate cards instruct real estate agents on how they can attain free, online Continuing Education through InterNACHI, an Oregon-approved course provider for licensed real estate agents.
Tell agents to visit nachi.org/agentce. When an agent starts a free, online course and enters an InterNACHI member's ID #, the member is notified by email which agent has started a course.
Radon Tester Certification (online & free for members):
Though Oregon does not regulate individuals performing radon testing, measurement, and mitigation the Oregon Public Health Department's Radon Program recommends hiring a Certified Radon Tester who has completed a radon measurement training certification course approved by either the NRPP or the NRSB. NRPP:
InterNACHI's free, online "Radon Measurement Professional Initial Training Course" is AARST-NRPP approved for both initial certification and Continuing Education. To complete all components of the NRPP Radon Certification, please visit their site for more information.
NRSB:
InterNACHI's free, online Radon Measurement Professional Initial Training Course is NRSB-approved for initial certification. For those looking for NRSB continuing education, members should take the free, online "Advanced Radon Measurement Service Provider" course.
