InterNACHI and BuyWise offering ecoENERGY and Energy Star training in Ontario

BuyWise® and the International Association of Certified Home Inspectors (interNACHI) have teamed up to offer ecoENERGY evaluations in Ontario

ecoENERGY Retrofit Grant Initiative:

BuyWise® and InterNACHI have teamed up to provide their clients with the ecoENERGY Retrofit Incentive for Homes in Ontario.  In early 2009, BuyWise, a licensed Service Organization, will begin to train InterNACHI Home Inspectors to become Certified ecoENERGY Advisors.  On average a homeowner can reduce their annual energy bill by up to 30%.

ENERGY STAR for New Homes

BuyWise® and InterNACHI have also teamed up deliver the ENERGY STAR for New Homes program.  ENERGY STAR qualified new homes are approximately 30 percent more energy efficient than those built to minimum building code standards.  The increased efficiency of these homes translates into reduced energy costs for homeowners.  In mid 2009, BuyWise, a Service Organization licensed to deliver the EnergySTAR New Housing program, will offer training to InterNACHI Home Inspectors for Certification

InterNACHI Founder, Nick Gromicko stated:

"Both programs have a high intrinsic value.  Homeowners are relying even more on their Home Inspectors for value added services.  With the Green initiatives today, this is only a natural addition to a Home Inspector’s service offering.  InterNACHI already promotes energy loss inspector in sites like www.InspectorLocator.com
